Law Firm 500 Recap

Our team is back from Boca Raton, where we were proud sponsors of the the second annual Law Firm 500 Conference. We love this event, which celebrates the fastest-growing law firms in the country, and we’ll be sponsoring the 2018 edition as well. We were particularly proud this year to see that 10 of our clients made the list!

We arrived Thursday afternoon to beautiful Boca Raton, FL to set up our booth and settle in. We debuted a new set-up at this conference and we think it turned out great!

Friday is when all the fun began. RJon Robins, the CEO and founder of How to Manage a Small Law Firm, gave the opening remarks and welcomed everyone to the event. He spoke throughout the entire conference, beginning the each day with some words of wisdom, and humor.

There were a whole bunch of great speakers. We may be a little biased, but we think our co-founder, Marc Cerniglia, was one of the best.

Those who participated in Marc’s presentation learned valuable information about creating an internet foundation that isn’t solely reliant on Search Engine Optimization, and how obsessing over SEO could even be holding their law firm back from exponential growth.

Throughout the conference, we had a chance to meet inspiring and high-performing lawyers, as well as see some of our amazing clients in person. Phone and email communication gets the job done, but it’s always great to see clients face-to-face.

Saturday was jam-packed just like Friday, which meant more networking with attorneys, and even some of the other vendors and sponsors. RJon opened up the day, and in a moment of spontaneity he asked all lawyers that grossed over $1 million to stand. He then passed around the mic and let each attorney give a brief explanation of the things they might do differently if they lost everything and had to start all over and rebuild their firm. What missteps would you avoid, which different paths would you take, and how long would it take you to build it all back up? The wisdom was absolutely priceless!

The keynote speaker at the awards gala was Shark Tank’s Daymond John.

As a spectator, I must say that Daymond was an incredible speaker with a phenomenal stage presence. He was motivational, hilarious, and extremely kind. Before he got on stage, we found out he stopped by the kid’s club to say hi to all the children of attendees, and even made a special video to one of the girls who couldn’t be there to meet him. Hearing his presentation was amazing, and he commanded the stage and audience with a passion for what he was talking about. Daymond presented the story of how he got to where he is today, filled with video clips, audio backup, and crowd participation. I can’t emphasize enough how great he is as a speaker. Plus he gave us some behind the scenes secrets from Shark Tank!

Overall, we had an amazing trip and got to meet some wonderful people! If you didn’t get a chance to stop by and say hi, or if you have any questions at all, we’d love to talk to you!

Proud to be a part of Law Firm 500 and looking forward to next year already!
