AI Can Do a Lot for Your Firm (But It Can’t Do Everything)

AI is the hottest new trend since VR Headsets had their moment a few years ago. Every industry and every influencer is talking about the potential impact of artificial intelligence on businesses and consumers. And while there are a lot of tools available at your disposal to help make your life easier and your firm more productive, AI cannot (and likely will not) replace you or outright do everything for you at the standard you need.

Let’s take your marketing for example. AI-backed applications can help you create images and video clips for your social media. It can help you write copy for blogs or social media posts.

The problem is that, even though AI can generate clear, grammatically correct copy, it’s still painfully obvious that it was written by a robot. In other words, if you ask ChatGPT to write a blog article for you, it lacks the ability to write in such a way that feels like you actually wrote it.

That’s why we think AI is great as a research and productivity tool. It can do the research for you and even get a good rough draft created for you. However, you still need to take the time to proofread and make substantial edits to ensure that it your voice and unique views on the given subject are present.

Even more, the current murkiness of the AI world could mean that Google will eventually penalize or ignore AI-generated content. Alternatively, governing bodies like bar associations or CPA societies may enact regulations on how you can reasonably use AI.

In the end, at least as things stand today, artificial intelligence is a fantastic research and creative tool that can help make your firm more efficient and productive. However, it is not currently (and likely won’t be) in a place to fully replace the human touch that remains necessary today.
