We are a law firm that focuses on business law, and then we have niches or specializations in intellectual property and privacy law, as well. I think an ideal client for me is someone who has been sitting on an idea for a while, and they finally get the courage to step out on that idea. It’s the ones that are really passionate about something they’re working on, something that’s really innovative, and they’re just looking for an attorney to just have in their back pocket to support them on their dream.


I was at a Florida Bar convention, I think it was last summer, actually, and I started working with you guys. We had to have a conversation about how you could help support my firm, and she did a really good job, Jana, at kind of explaining that. The team recently helped me write an article or a blog about copyright trolls, and I think it was less than two weeks after that blog went live.


A week later, we actually got a direct-close client specifically from that copyright infringement article, which was just amazing to have. It happened so quickly and it was so spot on. For one, I think it confirmed to me what a great job that you guys are able to do, the way that you guys are able to work together, collaborate and produce an amazing result that is reflected directly with the clients or getting leads is just, I think, impeccable.


I built my business via word of mouth, so I didn’t really dive into the digital marketing space, and it allows me to expand my network online, and they’re always just kind of boasting about me and my brand. Brand awareness is something that the team has really helped me to obtain and to perfect without always having to be doing the work as lawyers are busy people.


So me trying to always get in front of people is not something I have the time to do, and the team did and does a really great job at keeping me in front of my ideal client. I think a marketing team is something that you definitely need to have in your back pocket. And what I love about Spotlight is that you have several different experts, and you guys have a really interesting business model of being able to have all those experts communicate to you on what you need.


I think the level of expertise and the depth of communication have been really, really valuable and worth it for me.
